Virtual Event

Since every human being on Earth is born somewhere, birth spaces must be given more consideration – we ought to design such important places with conscious and informed awareness. And colour, whether physical or ephemeral, can play a strong role in transforming birth places and birth experiences.

About the event

Abstract

Colour and Birth Spaces?! An unusual and perhaps overly specific topic, you might think! Yet artist, designer and researcher Doreen Balabanoff aims to interest you in this topic as one that addresses a fundamental space of being and becoming.

She posits that it is a place that deserves more attention and respect architecturally. She understands architecture as being not only physical, but spatial, atmospheric, inclusive of its exterior environs.
